Hands down, best coffee I’ve ever had. These guys really know their craft! The vibe is chill, and even when the shop is super busy the guys seem calm and collected. Utterly enjoyable experience and will definitely be coming back when we next visit Melbourne.

Bench Coffee in Melbourne exceeded my expectations! The baristas are not only skilled but also incredibly attentive. When I mentioned that my coffee was a bit bitter, they immediately offered to remake it, ensuring it was just right. The second cup was perfect – smooth, balanced, with the ideal milk-to-coffee ratio. They even have sparking water and regular water for free.It’s clear they genuinely care about customer satisfaction. Highly recommend this place for anyone who appreciates quality coffee and great service!

I love their minimalist black-and-white design concept, simple yet stylish. I had the chance to try their seasonal coffee special: 🍁 Autumn Windfall – $11 Bauhaus seasonal espresso on genmaicha-infused milk, topped with hojicha cream foam and a toasted brown rice garnish. I really enjoyed the combination, especially the hojicha cream. Love a Japanese-inspired coffee! We had Batch brew with was pretty nice with dessert, not too sour Plum Dacquoise: the flavor was lighter than I thought, but still good. Next time I might try black sesame flavor. Fig pastry was nice and sweet.

Incredibly good coffee! •Bold, smooth, and exactly what my morning needed •comforting on a cold drizzly day •kind and quick service •they also give sparkling water to cleanse palate and appreciate the coffee more (which I just learned recently yay!)

Good coffee in a modern designed cafe. There are some small tables if you need one, otherwise it is pretty much grab and go concept. Very instagram-worthy deco. No queue and coffee is served promptly.

Great coffee, amazing food, and a modern black-and-white space that feels so clean and unique. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, explained everything perfectly. Loved the biscuit (not too sweet) and the toast was delicious. Absolutely worth a visit — I’d definitely come back again!

One of the best coffees I had in Melbourne. Easily one of my top 5’s. They have a good range of coffee menu. I ordered an iced oat latte once with a friend where we randomly popped in the cafe in St. Kilda and I loved it since then. I also love how are very friendly and accommodating to customers. They go above and beyond with their service and they don’t play with their coffees! Must try to any one visiting Melbourne.

Bench keeps things simple — and they do it well. The espresso was clean, balanced, and well extracted. You can tell there’s intention behind every shot. Milk texture was smooth and consistent, no shortcuts. One thing to note — they only offer oat milk as an alternative option. No almond, no soy. If you’re dairy-free, just be aware of that going in. Service was relaxed and friendly without being over the top. The space itself feels calm, minimalist, and focused on the coffee.
